Shrisharanyan Vasu is an AI/ML Research Engineer at Maitri-Labs, building deep learning systems for some of medicine's hardest imaging problems, from congenital heart disease to inflammatory bowel disease. A computer science (AI) graduate of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, he presented his first paper at STACOM @ MICCAI '26 and has contributed to publications at ASMUS @ MICCAI '26 through the MONAI Ultrasound Working Group.
Beyond the lab, he's a Google Summer of Code 2025 contributor to DeepChem, where he implemented Fourier Neural Operators and Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) to expand the framework's toolkit for solving partial differential equations. He's been building with MONAI for over two years, remains an active contributor to its Ultrasound Working Group, and mentors at amFOSS, Amrita's open source community.
