Sarin Xavier is a 3D engineer in Paediatric Cardiology at Amrita Hospital, Kochi, with a BTech and an MTech from NIT Calicut. He builds patient-specific 3D reconstructions and printed models from cardiac CT and MRI, and has co-authored work on immersive 3D visualisation for planning interventions in complex congenital heart disease. On the CHD program he handles reconstruction and case preparation, and knows exactly where a segmentation has to be right for a model to be usable in the cath lab.
