Gilad Gressel

Gilad Gressel is a research associate and project lead at the Amrita Center for Cybersecurity Systems & Networks whose work unites two fronts — deployable medical-AI vision and cyber-AI security.

In healthcare, Gilad’s computer-vision pipelines have pushed endoscopy and cardiac imaging toward the bedside: a multi-frame EUS system that flags pancreatic cancer within 400 ms per patient and a two-stage 3-D model that cleanly segments seven congenital-heart structures to aid surgical planning in virtual reality.

He is currently pursuing a PhD, and holds an M.S. in Computer Science (Machine Learning) from Georgia Tech and a B.A. in Linguistics from the University of California, Santa Cruz . Driven by a belief that safe, context-aware AI can transform both healthcare and cyber-defence, he works closely with clinicians, policy-makers and industry partners to translate research prototypes into deployable, ethically-grounded solutions.
